April 2022:
Where We Were
Jim travelled to UK to attend his Dad’s belated 80th birthday party. It was actually his 82nd Birthday, but due to Covid restrictions it had to be delayed.
HAIL DAMAGE
We were busy with screen repair this month, particularly as we had a severe thunderstorm with hail which damaged a lot of brittle screens in communities near us.
LANDSCAPING PROJECT
One landscaping job we did involved cleaning out some mulch beds, and removing unwanted plants, and installing sod instead. We also replaced the micro irrigation originally installed, and adapt the sprinklers to cover the new area of sod.

Central Florida is the lightning capital of the USA
Florida’s nickname of the “Sunshine State” is a little ironic at best, if you ask me. Severe weather is actually really common in Florida, especially in the central region.
Here it experiences more lightning strikes than anywhere else in the USA. Florida also has more tornadoes per area than any of the other states too.
Hurricanes, you ask? Well, Florida also has so many of them that it’s the most hurricane-prone state too. Sunshine state, hah!
