Re-Sodding Project

Upgraded Landscaping

Where were we this month?

We attended the annual equipment auction held in Kissimmee by Yoder & Frey. It is always interesting to see the variety of items up for grabs.

Our only purchase for the business was a hydraulic mower lift, which the guys appreciated as it is now much easier for them to change the mower blades.

Re-Sodding Project

The first photo shows the yard when we first saw it - a mixture of grass and weeds. We first applied herbicide to kill off the existing growth, which generally take 7 - 10 days to take full effect. The dead material was then removed, and the yard graded and prepared for the new sod. Finally, the new sod was laid.

Another job completed this month was for a client who wanted the original

planting installed by the builder for his new home removed and replaced with

upgraded landscaping.

Fun Fact: Hail in Florida

ludlow services

Even though hail is not common to the state, there have been about a dozen events of hail of over 3 inches being reported in Florida. More commonly, smaller pieces of hail have been reported in the Central Florida region.

One event in 1996 in Lake Wales, hail as big as softballs was reported. Damage to the area was done to windows, roves and cars totaling $24 million.
